The Executive Producer leads and manages client engagements and development of original content projects. They are responsible for overall client satisfaction, quality of service and on-time and on-budget completion of deliverables across commercial productions. This person is a mentor and coordinator for producers, setting best practices for projects across the company. They have a passion for strategy & creativity in production whilst having an aptitude for sales and business development.
The EP’s primary function is to generate and subsequently convert sales leads for commercial production business into winning pitches. In so doing you will identify ways to pitch competitively and define and enact specific strategies to win business.
You will work closely with individual directors at project engagement to disseminate their vision, inspire and challenge them to define a winning approach to a treatment and translate these factors into a design and production process for the pitch collateral that is on message and reflects the personality and equity of the Friends Electric brand, whilst also communicating the personality of the director and the tonality of their work.
You will set and then adhere to the budget for pitch productions and engage and motivate an extended team of contributors on a project basis including (but not limited to) designers, CG artists, writers, researchers, producers and assistants to deliver the director’s vision for the pitch.
Day to day you will manage a small and nimble team in the art of pitch production, ensuring you are personally across every project. You will delegate production tasks to members of Friends Electric’s production team and external partners.
On an on-going basis you will disseminate relevant information to key figures in the organisation including the company’s partners, COO & Heads of Department. You will create a harmonious and collaborative working environment, adding value to the company as a whole.
You will be a decision maker in developing and improving the roster of directors.
You will be a decision maker in defining which sales leads the company decides to engage on.
You will ensure a close working relationship between Friends Electric’s studios in London & LA, ensuring at all times that the collective studios’ capacity is leveraged to deliver maximum benefit to the business. You will work closely in monitoring the performance of our commercial reps in the UK and US.
Your role is both externally and internally focused and you will be required to source new business opportunities outside of core advertising agency clients. This includes (but is not limited to) tech companies, fashion houses, game developers & publishers.
Success in your role will be judged on the percentage of of new business leads your team converts into winning pitches, the revenue they generate and client and director satisfaction. Your performance will be assessed on a quarterly basis.
You will be responsible for reporting the performance of your team’s work on a monthly basis to partners & COO.
Develop project specific strategies to win new business pitches for Friends Electric
Alongside MD & Producers, protect existing client relationships.
Consistently multi-task and delegate line production to ensure you are across multiple and concurrent pitches for domestic and international clients.
Offer agile thinking to ensure that the business is always kept at the forefront of pitch presentation, design & content.
Source new talent for the creative roster.
Be a modern, forward facing thought leader who has one eye on the now, and one eye on the ever-changing production landscape.

To achieve a 33% strike rate on commercial pitch wins

Expert knowledge of the advertising industry

A working knowledge of animation, live action and post production
